Candle Care + Tips
Daybreak Candle Care
Step 01: Trim
Before each burn, trim the wick to 1/4" to ensure a clean, smoke-free experience. This simple step helps your candle burn evenly and last longer. Remember to protect the surface beneath your candle.
Step 02: First Burn
On your first light, allow the wax melt pool reach the edges of the candle to unlock its full potential. This initial burn should last at least 3 hours. For subsequent burns, limit your candle to a maximum of 4 hours at a time to maintain its quality and safety.
Step 03: Repurpose
When your candle has about 1/4" to 1/2" of wax left, it's time to repurpose the glass. Freeze the candle to easily remove the remaining wax, and enjoy finding a new use for your Daybreak vessel.
Safety Tips
- Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to about 1/4". This helps the candle burn at a steady pace, reduces smoke and soot, and prevents the wick from falling into the wax, ensuring a clean and efficient burn.
- Always place your candle on a heat-resistant, non-flammable surface.
- Keep your candle away from drafts, fabrics, and curtains to prevent uneven burning or accidental fires.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
- Stop using the candle when only 1/4" to 1/2" of wax remains, or if the wick sustainer becomes visible.
